Ganesh Chaturthi is coming and here is the recipe to make
ganesh chaturthi Mawa modak. Follow the instructions.
Ingredients:
1. Soft Mawa – 1 cup
2. Powdered Sugar – ¼ cup
3. Grated pistachio (Pista) – ¼ cup
4. Elchi powder – ¼ cup
5. Saffron to taste
6. Ghee for greasing
Method:
1. Mix
sugar and mawa in heavy pan and cook for 5 to 10 minutes on slow gas.
2. Mix
elchi powder when sugar is melted. Put it aside for some time.
3. Divide
this mixture into 2/3 and 1/3 and add saffron in 2/3 part and pistachio in 1/3
part of the mixture.
4. Now
make balls of this mixture and give it a shape of real modak.
