Besan Laddu



Besan (Chickpea Flour) laddu is one of my favorite sweets! It’s so yummy and mouthwatering. Besan laddu is so easy to make at home with just few artless steps! Here is the recipe to make besan laddu.

Ingredients:


1.       Besan Flour (Chickpea Flour) – 100 gram

2.       Powdered sugar – 100 gram

3.       Ghee (Butter Oil) – 60 gram

4.       Elchi powder (Cardamom) – ¼ tsp.

5.       Saffron strands - 5

Method:

1.       Add powdered sugar and saffron strands in a bowl and mix well. Put it aside.
2.       Heat pan with ghee (Butter Oil) and add besan flour (chickpea flour) in it. Cook till the flour becomes golden brown.
3.       Then add elchi powder (Cardamom powder). Mix well and put this mixture in a serving plate.
4.       Add powdered sugar and saffron strands mixture in it and give it a shape of laddu (Round Shape).

Ganesh Chaturthi - Mawa Modak



Ganesh Chaturthi is coming and here is the recipe to make ganesh chaturthi Mawa modak. Follow the instructions.

Ingredients:


1.       Soft Mawa – 1 cup

2.       Powdered Sugar – ¼ cup

3.       Grated pistachio (Pista)  – ¼ cup

4.       Elchi powder – ¼ cup

5.       Saffron to taste

6.       Ghee for greasing

Method:

1.       Mix sugar and mawa in heavy pan and cook for 5 to 10 minutes on slow gas.
2.       Mix elchi powder when sugar is melted. Put it aside for some time.
3.       Divide this mixture into 2/3 and 1/3 and add saffron in 2/3 part and pistachio in 1/3 part of the mixture.
4.       Now make balls of this mixture and give it a shape of real modak.

The tasty modak is ready to serve! This is the easiest way to make ganesh chaturthi mawa modak. Happy Ganesh Chaturthi.
