Stuffed idli



Indian food item stuffed idli recipe is here for you. It is healthy and tasty stuffed idli recipe to make at home.

Ingredients:


1.       Sooji (Semolina) – 2 cups

2.       Curd – 1 cup

3.       Salt to taste

4.       Brown mustard seeds (Rai) – 1 tbsp.

5.       Sweet neem (currypatta) – 10 to 12 leaves

6.       Baking soda – 1 tbsp.

7.       Oil – 2 tbsp.

For stuffing:

1.       Pea – 1 cup
2.       Boiled potatoes – 2
3.       Salt to taste
4.       Red chilli powder – ½ tbsp.
5.       Turmeric powder – ½ tbsp.
6.       Chopped coriander – ½ tbsp.
7.       Oil – 1 tbsp.

Process to make stuffed idli:

1.       Add semolina (sooji), salt, and curd in bowl and leave it for 1 hour.
2.       Crush boiled potatoes and pea.
3.       Heat pan with oil and add potato and pea mixture, red chilli, turmeric powder, and coriander in it.
4.       Take another pan and heat oil in it. Add brown mustard seeds, sweet neem, and baking soda in it. Add this mixture in idli mixture.
5.       Now spread oil in idli maker mold and add idli mixture then stuffing and again idli mixture. Boil for 10 minutes.
6.       Take out idli after 10 minutes and leave it for 2 minutes.

Serve hot with coconut chutney or sambhaar! South Indian food recipe!
